Celebrating 22 Royal Outfits!

Last weekend Princess Charlotte featured in our Blossom Button Front Dress in the new portrait released by the Palace for Father’s Day 2023, marking our 22nd Royal outfit! Princess Charlotte first discovered our iconic Button Front style in 2019 when she wore our Ditsy Floral Button Front Dress at the Chelsea Flower Show.

“This style been a best-seller since I designed it 25 years ago! My daughter Rose wore the same dress when she was little, and it remains a best-seller today,” says Rachel.

Princess Charlotte wore our Navy Floral Frill Dress at this year's Easter Sunday Church Service at Windsor Castle. For the Easter Church service the year before in 2022 she wore our Forget-Me-Not Smocked Dress in matching blue hues with her mother the Princess of Wales.

In a less formal setting, Princess Charlotte enjoyed the Commonwealth Games in 2022 wearing our Breton Stripe Jersey Dress.

Prince George has also worn 7 Rachel Riley designs since his first ever official engagement in New Zealand in 2014, where he was photographed wearing our Sailboat Smocked Dungarees for a playdate.

Prince Louis has worn Rachel Riley designs publicly on 2 separate occasions. The first was for the family Christmas card in 2021, when Prince Louis wore our Striped Polo. Most recently, Prince Louis wore our Blue Tailored Shorts at the Easter Sunday Church Service at Windsor Castle in 2023.

“What makes these outfits so popular is that they are traditional, stylish and effortlessly charming making them wonderful for photographs and also for family heirlooms and can be worn for many generations. It makes me proud to see that parents and grandparents appreciate the clothes that we design and make, and that of course spurs me on to design and make more beautiful children’s clothing,” says Rachel.
